Beat Cancer Before It Happens

My mom was diagnosed with stage III CRC in Dec. 2017. She went through sigmoidectomy and all twelfth rounds of chemo, only to be told less than one year later that it has metastasized to her abdominal wall, both ovaries as well as her left ureter. Now, she has been through countless rounds of chemo, two major surgeries, and two minor surgeries. But it will be a 1 in a million chance that she will ever go into remission. All we can ask for is for her to stay with us as long as possible...

I would not wish this level of suffering even on my worst enemy. As the child of a stage IV cancer patient. My life has not been the same since. For a really long time, every day I woke up, I asked myself, "Was that just a dream?" :(

I also have a responsibility as a health professional, to help spread awareness around cancer surveillance and prevention. And I hope you can help me reduce the number of families that would have the same tragedy happen to them.
