CHA2DS2-VASc score is used to estimate the risk of stroke in patients with a history of atrial fibrillation and determine if/what types of anticoagulants or antiplatelets should be used on them.
If you have a CHA2DS2-VASc of 0 or 1, you might not need anticoagulants or antiplatelets.
If you have a CHA2DS2-VASc of 2, you will need warfarin or nonvitamin K OAC (oral anticoagulant).
